Like a “sexy” version of Houston’s, this West LA chain spin-off is a “consistent” “winner” for “solid” Southwestern-American fare according to “well-heeled” “grown-ups” who applaud the “attentive” service and “attractive” environs replete with “leather booths”, “live jazz” and a “hoppin’” “singles bar”; while it’s “not cheap”, all that “scenery” draws “crowds like a movie opening.”

Hip, Southwestern-American eatery with leather booths, a bustling bar & nightly live jazz.
If Seattle has The Space Needle, Los Angeles has West Restaurant & Lounge. The penthouse bar and restaurant specializing in California cuisine sits at the top of the Angeleno Hotel, that hulking round landmark that reminds us all we’re only halfway through our slog on the 405. This is theater in the round, with an audience that includes downtown, the ocean and Catalina Island on a good day. But it’s the details inside that make the show. Happy hour prices combine well with sliders and upscale sopes, while the focused dinner menu includes duck breast, gnocchi and hangar steak.
