Charlie Wilson, who explores the synergy between pop and R&B along with Harlem-born R&B singer/songwriter Keith Sweat are making a stop at Microsoft Theater on Friday, February 9.
Before launching his solo career in 2000, Wilson racked up a string of hits in the late ‘70s and ‘80s as front man with the Gap Band. The pioneering R&B/funk group charted such frequently sampled classics as “Outstanding,” “Yearning for Your Love,” “Burn Rubber on Me,” “You Dropped a Bomb on Me” and “Early in the Morning.”
Keith Sweat is best known for hits such as “I Want Her”, “Something Just Ain’t Right”, “Make It Last Forever” “Make You Sweat”, “I’ll Give All My Love to You” and many more.
